MIRACLES>MILES

 HOWDY YALLL!! Tbh it was a longggg week haha, on the bright side the weather was bomb tho!

Monday: PDAYYYY ! We got dumped on on Monday! We went out tracting anyway because ppls hearts are more softened if 2 soaking wet girls knock on their door and ask them if they wanna talk about Jesus lol. 

Tuesday: DETECTIVE WORK. we spent a lot of Tuesday hunting down less actives, since we're in a military ward a lot of ppl moved and we were able to find ppl who moved in their house ((:

Wednesday:MLC REVIEW! We had mlc review with all the missionaries in our zone and it was way fun!! Then we put our 6 list together and went and visited some less actives! One of them broke down and said she wants to prepare to go to the temple but she feels like she's gone too far. We talked about the atonement, see she was so excited after!!

Thursday: MIRACLES! We had dinner with a family and we decided before dinner that we would follow the spirit around their neighborhood and see where God needed us. We visited a family in the ward and then put directions to get to their house and it took us to this lady's house. We figured it was probs God telling us we needed to knock it so we did. This girl answered and she immediately told us to come in, she broke down and told us that her and her friend were just talking about how they need to go to church and stuff when we knocked on her door! God is good!

Friday: WOW OLD PPL TALK... we found the sweetest little old man and bless his soul we had to fight for dear life for each word in our lesson lol. We brought a member though and as soon as he started to bear his testimony he went silent and let him speak without interrupting. The spirit was so strong and we all could feel it!

Saturday: CLEANING OUT OUR TEACHING POOL! Well our Olympic sized teaching pool turned into a kiddie pool quite fast... in the space of 10ish hours... we came to a realization that "some" or most of the people we're teaching need some more time for God to soften them up. On the bright side we have some super solid ppl that we're teaching now!

Sunday: MINI MIRACLES! We decided to tract by our dinner apt, and we we got rejected hard-core and then we found two super cool people so that was a tender mercy!

HOWDY YALLL!! The past two weeks have been hectic, but in a good way! But here's the past two weeks in a baby nutshell:

 

- ZONE TOUR!! we had zone conference with Elder stanfill and it was sooo cool!! The spirit was so strong! He talked a lot about member work and having members present at lessons, needless to say we set up a crap ton of MPL's after that lol!

- MLC WITH ELDER STANFILL! HOLY GUACAMOLE😇🥑the spirit in that room was insane! He left us with an apostolic blessing, it made me cry 

-LOTS OF ROAD TRIPS!! more meetings= more driving= MASSIVE contacting sessions

- ITS TOASTY! The weather here is wack but the past two weeks have been so hot haha! The humidity here is soooo nice except when you're tracting 💀heat stroke ain't for the week lol

- PRAYER WORKS! I've been praying so hard for miracles this week, we got doors slammed haha. But on Sunday we had TONSSSS of soldiers come to church!!! Even in the family ward we had a few of our friends come! God just decided to teach me patience this week😂

-REFRESHING THE TEACHING POOL😪 I've decided that being a missionary is like going tubing... it's a game of how long you can hold onto the people you're teaching before you have to let go... 🚤

Let's just say we had to let go lots this week! Dropping people used to make me so sad but I've started to change my perspective to letting people "marinate" or letting God prepare them more for the next missionaries that come in. We were able to find some cool people that are willing to keep commitments 😎

Pray to know if you have been called by a prophet of god, read the last paragraph in ur mission call letter!

Last week I tried this and I feel like it changed my mission for me. I realized that obviously we sustain the prophets and apostles and were called by a prophets and apostles. But sometimes we doubt ourselves, we hold back. I realized this week that when i do doubt myself and I hold back I'm not sustaining myself or the prophet. Once I prayed about it, it became easier for me to sustain the prophet and myself through my actions.

For my missionaries w/o a tag: ask god how he feels about you and your mission here on earth!

Monday: PDAYYYY / ROAD TRIP! We had the funnest pday ever! Sis Stencil did all of our hair( aka us and the elders) and then I did sis Stencil's hair, it was sooo fun! I didn't realize how much I missed doing hair haha but being a missionary is 200% worth it! Then we started the trek out to Springfield for mlc🛴

Tuesday: MLC! Soooo good! One of the most powerful ones yet! We talked a lot about why we use key indicators, how the work is too sacred not to measure. And also about the Temple open house!! Which DRUMROLL all the sisters will get to help with!! I'm so stoked to go to the open house😆

Wednesday: GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS! We had lunch with our friend Courtney and it was baller! Her bf came last minute and started to try to bash when I offered him a bom so I pulled him aside so sis tayco could teach Courtney and said a prayer that his heart would be softened, It was! We both had amazing lessons and after he turned to Courtney and told her that if she wanted to learn how to be a true Christian to talk to us🤯 GOD IS GOOD!

Thursday: CHAD'S BAPTISM!! It was sooo good! The spirit was so strong, he was smiling so big after it was so tender! He brought his friend and she's way interested, we were able to find her and put her on date!

Friday: TRANSFERS); killing a comp is the absolute worst! I love sis tayco so much and i miss her like crazy! On the bright side tho im so stoked to be with Sister Morris she's so amazing I love her so much! 

Saturday: SISTER MORRIS IS A BALLER! We found this less active family that has 2 unbaptized youth, we were able to share a message with them and start teaching the kids! The mom said it was exactly what they needed that day! 

Sunday: MARSHALL'S BAPTISM!!! SOOOO GOOOD! The soldiers in my class loved it, we had a really good convo about baptism after! I had the branch president come and share his testimony after, the spirit was so strong!

Idk why I had never thought to do this until recently but I had a thought one personal study that obviously I know jesus christ is my savior, I wear his name on my chest daily. But I had never specifically prayed to know if he was, so I did! I feel like it absolutely changed my relationship with him for the better and helped me have a deeper desire to share the gospel with everyone. Sooo your invitation this week is to give that a shot and write your experience down!
